Every video game fan who hasn’t been living under a rock has heard of Halo and its infamous green cyber-suited Master Chief.
Halo Infinite — the first main series Halo game since 2015's Halo 5 — was due to be released this winter as a flagship launch title for the Xbox Series X and Series S, but was pushed back to 2021 after a fierce backlash from fans regarding the game's graphics.
Halo Infinite has had a very rocky development process, and despite its delay, developer 343 Industries is still working hard on the new game, recently sharing the work it is doing to provide brand new audio for the much anticipated title.
A recent Tweet from the game’s official Twitter account shows some of the work being done on the next-gen Halo, most of which involves the audio team travelling to wooded or rural rocky locations to carry out field recordings, capturing the explosions necessary to populate the game’s audio tracks.
