Adele Scores Fourth Consecutive UK Number One With 30

Debuting at the top spot with over 260,000 sales this week and 55.7 million streams across its 12 tracks, Adele’s 30 has scored the fastest-selling album of 2021 so far, and the biggest opening week on the UK’s Official Albums Chart since 2017.

30 joins previous albums 19 (2008), 21 (2011), 25 (2015) as number ones on the UK Official Albums Chart.

On November 19, Adele’s 30 broke the record for the most-streamed album in a day globally by a UK artist in Spotify history. Additionally, Adele broke the record for the most streamed UK artist globally in a day in Spotify history.

This week also sees Adele secure a UK no.1 chart double as 30 joins lead single, Easy on Me atop of the UK official chart.

Commandeering the no.1 position on the UK Top 40 chart since it was released six weeks ago, Easy on Me is now Adele’s longest running UK no.1 single.

Adele also lands two other entries within the top five of the UK official chart, with Oh My God debuting at number two, and I Drink Wine at number four.

Since release, Easy On Me has broken numerous records including 24 million total first week streams in the UK, and earned the biggest week of digital download sales of 2021 so far, with 23,500.

Easy On Me also dominated UK radio, becoming the first record this year to break 100 million listeners in one week as it spends its fifth week at number one across radio airplay.
