Adele Brings Nostalgia To ‘Oh My God’ Music Video

Adele has released a new video for her new track, Oh My God – the second single to be taken from her record-breaking album, 30.

The artistic, high fashion music video was directed by Sam Brown, who directed Adele’s 2010 video for Rolling In The Deep. The song was written by Adele and its producer, Greg Kurstin.

“I got to work with Sam Brown again for Oh My God, who directed the Rolling In The Deep video!” Adele confirmed on Instagram.

“So to collaborate together again a decade later was nostalgic, to say the least. We filmed this one on the day Easy On Me dropped; there were a million things going on all at once. But the attention to detail from the crew was borderline hilarious. Thank you so much for your patience and pulling it all together. It was a lot of fun.

“Although right at the end a huge python was on set so I skedaddled my arse straight out of there! Big thank you to Harris Reed, Louis Vuitton and The Queens Haus, Vivienne Westwood for the most stunning clothes for me to sing my ‘I’m a hot mess’ song in!”

Last year saw CD sales in the US rise for the first time in 17 years, with Adele’s much-anticipated 30 accounting for over 2% of all CD purchases.

The report shows that CD album sales in the US rose by 1.1% on 2020, with total sales hitting 40.59 million, compared to 40.16 million in 2020.

Adele spearheaded the increase, with her album 30 selling close to 900,000 copies in CD format, equating to 2.15% in total CD sales for the year.

30 continues to dominate charts around the globe and is officially certified 3x platinum in the US and 2x platinum in the UK, Ireland, France and Korea.

Released in November 2021, 30 is the biggest selling album of 2021 in the UK and has spent five weeks at number one on the UK chart.

30 also had the biggest release week of any album in the UK for the last four years. The album’s lead single, Easy On Me has held the number one position on the UK Singles Chart for eight weeks.

Easy On Me is also the UK’s fastest selling single of 2021, had the highest weekly streams in UK history and remained at number one in the UK Airplay Charts for five weeks.

Adele will kick off her previously announced Las Vegas residency, Weekends With Adele, on January 21, 2022 at The Colosseum of Caesars Palace Hotel.
