David Bowie’s Life On Mars? Is Top Song To Learn On Guitar

Fender has revealed the most popular songs that the UK is playing on guitar right now via its online learning platform, Fender Play.

The data shows that artists including David Bowie, Dolly Parton and Oasis are the ones inspiring players to pick up a guitar and play today, alongside newer acts like Billie Eilish and Ed Sheeran.

The top 20 played songs on Fender Play are:

Research by Fender recently found that just 15% of adults in the UK are content with their current skill set, with learning an instrument being one of the top desired new skills, while 39% think that learning a new skill is good for the brain.

Fender’s research also found that having a skill or hobby to concentrate on would better help people switch off from day-to-day life – something that Fender reports 70% of people struggle with, with many taking longer than an hour to relax once home from work.
