Louise Golbey Launches New Single, Different

Described as ‘Kaytranada meets Lianne la Havas’, Different is the new, electronic pop single by 6 Music and BBC Radio 1–supported artist, Louise Golbey.

Different is co-written with and produced by Dan Dare (Marina & The Diamonds, Charli XCX, Selah Sue, Gavin James, Wiley, Giggs).

Having played alongside Ed Sheeran at one of his very first London gigs and at his last surprise intimate show in Camden, Golbey is one of the most in-demand openers on the UK Live circuit, performing to 6,000 people ahead of George Benson at a Kenwood House Picnic Concert, landing support slots for En Vogue and Roberta Flack, a sold out UK tour with The Stylistics, Roy Ayers, Omar, Heatwave, Eric Benet, and Barack Obama’s rumoured favourite artist – Anthony David.

Golbey recently performed at The Electric Soul Festival in the 02 Arena alongside Kool and The Gang, Brand New Heavies, Heather Small and Level 42, and has shared the stage with Katy B, Jessie J, Sam Smith, Paloma Faith, Lianne La Havas and Mr Hudson - as well as working on tracks with Example and Newham Generals.

Golbey was Cafe Nero’s Artist of The Month (following Jack Savoretti) and performed on the Yamaha Stage at BBC Introducing Live event last year. She recently performed on London Live TV, and has garnered radio support from BBC Radio 2, Radio 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, BBC 6 Music, BBC London, Jazz FM and Mi-Soul - as well as radio stations throughout Europe and USA.

Golbey has played at Isle of Wight Festival and Glastonbury, recorded at Maida Vale and has performed at legendary venues such as Ronnie Scotts, The Jazz Cafe & the London Jazz Festival.

The singer also recently wrote and performed a theme tune for a new Amazon Prime Comedy series which has just aired - and was interviewed alongside Dua Lipa for Grazia online about being a female artist in the music industry.
