BOSS Unveils Slew Of New Guitar Products

Boss, a manufacturer of effects pedals for electric and bass guitar, and a division of Japanese company Roland, has released a number of new products for music makers:


The EURUS concept presents a bold new creative path for adventurous sonic explorers, expanding the traditional guitar experience with powerful and expressive Boss technologies, the company says. The EURUS GS-1 (pictured above) infuses a premium instrument with advanced guitar synthesis techniques refined over more than four decades.

EV-1-WL Wireless MIDI Expression Pedal

The Boss EV-1-WL is said to be the world’s first wireless MIDI expression pedal, providing wireless foot control for Boss products such as the EURUS GS-1 and Waza-Air, music apps on mobile devices, and anything that can receive CC messages via Bluetooth MIDI.

In addition, USB and MIDI TRS connectivity are on hand for wired control of computer music software and standard MIDI devices. Whether you go wireless or wired — or both at once — the EV-1-WL delivers MIDI power in a compact footprint.

Two new guitar gig bags

The company has unveiled two new guitar gig bags, the first being the CB-EG10, a light-yet-protective guitar gig bag with durable exterior materials, thick internal padding and two detachable neck supports. The CB-EG20 meanwhile is a premium guitar gig bag with semi-rigid design and water-resistant materials for superior protection.
