The Lang Lang International Music Foundation, a music education organisation focused on educating, inspiring and motivating the next generation of musicians, has announced a new UK-based office of global development which will be headed up in London by global development director, Oli Rose.
Rose has previously served as the foundation’s creative director throughout 2021. The new office of global development will allow a focus on expanding partnerships and programs in the UK, USA and globally.
The Lang Lang International Music Foundation entered the UK in 2021, starting partnerships with the charities Child Bereavement UK and Richard House Children's Hospice.
The foundation will officially bring its flagship program 'Keys Of Inspiration' (KOI) to London's state schools in 2022. Other global development objectives include rolling the foundation's KOI education program across new territories to underfunded schools around the world.
The foundation seeks to benefit areas with limited or no music resources and provide students with a safe, creative outlet helping to build self-confidence and develop a sense of achievement through creativity.
The foundation's primary education initiative, KOI, will begin in the UK during the 2022 school year.
The program aims to weave rigorous, keyboard-centric musical instruction into selected state schools’ mandatory curriculum, integrating group piano classes and providing up to 30 Roland keyboards and a complete music curriculum to underfunded schools.
As the director of global development, Rose also plans to scale its initiatives that bring entertainment and inspiration to children going through bereavement and to children with illness or limited life.
He hopes to develop an even wider global community of ambassadors, artists, musicians and creatives to help support and inspire children who are going through unimaginably difficult times.
Over the coming year, new program initiatives will also be created for in-need areas worldwide.
