Date change announced for BPM Show for DJs

BPM, the UK’s only dedicated show for DJs, has adjusted the 2024 dateline from 12-13 October to 9-10 November.

The date change creates more space in the events calendar for both exhibitors and visitors, helping to bring DJs and brands together for two meaningful days of business, learning and networking at Cranmore Park.

Since acquiring BPM earlier this year, PLASA has been closely listening to the needs of DJ professionals, as well as all the companies that serve them. And despite the dates being set upon acquisition, PLASA has taken the reassuring step of rescheduling BPM, to open up more opportunities for all those in the industry.

Peter Heath, managing director of PLASA, commented: “As an association as well as an events organiser, PLASA has historically been immersed in the needs and challenges of the people in the live sector. So, when we heard concerns about our original dates, we knew we had to make a bold move. The decision was made following much deliberation and conversation with our show partners, and now I am confident that we are properly placed to serve the DJ profession as best we can.”

The new dateline for BPM is supported by Headliner, SEDA and Mastermix. Not only will the move reduce pressure on exhibitors, visitors will have the opportunity to visit all shows in the calendar.

Tony Caliandro, chairman for SEDA, said: “As a key association for the DJ profession, we fully support the date change, as it allows more trade, learning and networking throughout the year – which are all vital for any DJ’s career progression. On a personal note, the new dateline will bring more of our members to the show, and we will be able to deliver our educational programme to more people too. We’re currently working on our programme, and we look forward to announcing more in the coming months.”

With the re-ignition of BPM Show 2024, visitors can look forward to a friendly show floor of manufacturers, dealers, rental houses, and service providers. Not to mention a re-imagined array of show features, courtesy of show partner Headliner Hub, who are set to bring valuable performance opportunities and immersive learning experiences to the show.

Paul Watson, CEO, Headliner Group, concluded: “BPM is committed to serving the DJ community to the fullest, and as such, this change of date makes perfect sense. The new dates will not only facilitate unparalleled networking opportunities, they will also enable an even more exciting and comprehensive programme of education content across the show. We can’t wait to welcome long-standing BPM visitors as well as those attending for the first time.”
