On Wednesday 5th October, Headliner descended on Rivington Street's intimate Kamio venue, where UK post-punk band, White Lies, played a fantastic, intimate show to around 200 people, celebrating the launch of their new album, Friends, which will be followed by a full UK tour, starting in November.
It's been quite a musical hiatus for the band - more than two and a half years since frontman Harry McVeigh and co. last took to the live stage together, and three years since they performed in the capital.
The band rather modestly admitted that they were extremely nervous being on stage after such a break, but they needn't have worried: as soon as they started playing, the place erupted, as if they'd never been away.
