Singer-songwriter, guitarist, and star of London’s Les Misérables, Shan Ako is the third artist to participate in QSC’s initiative to support the live events industry by providing her feedback on a QSC PA system.
As artists are currently unable to play live due to the restrictions caused by the worldwide pandemic – QSC is looking towards a time when they can play live again, when the need for live events will become more prevalent than ever.
QSC is looking to help kick-start artists’ comebacks when they return to live performance by giving them a chance to win an active loudspeaker system for their future gigs.
Shan will be putting two QSC K12.2 active loudspeakers and one QSC KS212C subwoofer through their paces at home.
The Brit School Alumni began releasing self-produced music as a teenager, writing lyrics to provide inspiration to young people.
Shan went on to gain exceptional credits and performance experiences, including the pre-Mobo awards at Cadogan Hall, the Barbican for the London Jazz Festival, and winning the Project Aloft Star for emerging artists run by Starwood Hotel Group and BBC Radio 1.
Shan’s first big break came when she auditioned for 2018’s the X-Factor, receiving a standing ovation after her moving and earnest rendition of Never Enough from The Greatest Showman soundtrack. Shan came seventh in the competition overall.
Shan has a 1st class degree in Music Business and Arts Management, most recently released her EP, Brave Heart alongside a beautiful visual EP.
