Headliner Group Announces Expansion Into USA

The Headliner Group is excited to announce its expansion into North America with the launch of Headliner USA – a new magazine, podcast, and video brand dedicated to capturing North American content with an A-list roster of talent. Headliner USA launches today (May 1) with an insightful podcast interview with double Grammy Award-winning American singer-songwriter, Jason Mraz.

The USA is the second biggest territory in terms of Headliner’s readership and online audience, and we now have a dedicated content creation team based out of Los Angeles.

Headliner has grown rapidly in the six years since its beginnings as a print magazine, and has evolved into a group of digital brands, each of which offers support to the creative community: artists, musicians, producers, engineers, technology brands, and creatives working across every genre of music, the arts, and entertainment sectors are championed by Headliner.

The Headliner Group now comprises a print and digital magazine read in 79 countries by over 80,000 people; video production and hosting services via the Headliner Hub; recording and production services in the Hub Studio; and the new Headliner Radio podcast platform.

In addition to the Jason Mraz exclusive, Headliner USA kicks off its new initiative with two further podcasts: Grammy-nominated ones to watch, Black Pumas, showing support for the Fender Next artist program; and LA-based singer-songwriter, Katie Ferrara, as part of our global initiative with QSC to support aspiring artists.

In April 2020, plans to launch Headliner Radio were accelerated from the planned 2021 launch in order to provide a positive ‘creative voice’ for all creatives affected by the coronavirus – opening three remote podcast studios in the UK.

In its first two weeks, Headliner Radio’s podcasts were downloaded over 3,000 times, and it’s currently being listened to in 41 countries.

“From our humble beginnings just six years ago in a 600 year old pub in St Albans, England, it’s a thrill to now be establishing a base in the USA – one of our largest markets, and one that is so influential in the world of entertainment,” comments Headliner founder, Paul Watson. “This is important as we realise that to effectively serve the creative industry based in the US, we need to have local staff sourcing great talent and opportunities. Following the first podcasts today, we will soon publish our first Headliner USA magazine and Hub.”
