Iraina Mancini Releases Lovers In The Dark

Singer, songwriter and DJ, Iraina Mancini has followed up her recent Undercover release with new song, Lovers In The Dark, produced with Jagz Kooner (Sabres Of Paradise, Primal Scream).

Taking inspiration from 'yé-yé girls' French pop, Psychedelia, vintage cinema, Serge Gainsbourgh and the UFO Club, her sound (does Headliner detect a hint of The Cardigans?) has been described as luxury pop.

The new single recalls the orchestration of Phil Spector’s Wall of Sound and is accompanied by a retro, psychedelic video directed by award winning New Zealander, Marc Swadel – best known for his work Gary Numan, Portishead, Sonic Youth, Nick Cave, Teenage Fanclub, Iggy and the Stooges, Libertines and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Mancini can often be found DJing around the UK and all over the world (Cannes, LA, Toronto, Spain and New York), at music Festivals (Glastonbury, Wilderness, Secret Garden Party) and at events (GQ, NME awards, Toronto Film Festival, Swarovski).

Mancini also presents her own Saturday show on Soho Radio, interviewing guests such as Mike Chapman (Blondie, The knack) ,Babyshambles, Gar- ret Shider (Parliment, Funkadelic) and YAK.

Mancini and her band of like minded collaborators are to announce a handful of UK dates to coincide with the single release.
