Frank Turner returning to Alexandra Palace for 3000th show party

During his BBC 6 Music Maida Vale session yesterday evening with Steve Lamacq, Frank Turner revealed that his landmark 3000th show has been scheduled for London’s iconic Alexandra Palace on 22 February, 2025.

Speaking about the milestone, Turner said, “It is full-fat ludicrous that I’m typing this, but I am very excited to announce that in February 2025 I will be playing my 3000th show. Show 1000 was fun. Show 2000 was crazy. This is just off the charts. The only possible option is to throw a massive party, so I’ll be returning to one of my favourite venues in the world, Alexandra Palace in North London, on 22nd February next year. There will be music, dancing, incredible supports and probably confetti. I’m proud and slightly bemused that I’ve got this far, and grateful to everyone who’s been along for the ride.

“You can pre-order an album in any format from my web store to gain access to the presale,” he added, detailing how to get tickets to the show. “You have until 11:59 UK on Wednesday 1st May to pre-order. This bit’s important: IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PRE-ORDERED FROM MY STORE, YOU DON’T NEED TO DO IT AGAIN, YOU’LL GET INTO THE PRESALE. Codes will be sent out Thursday 2nd May 10am UK, the presale will run from Friday May 3rd 10am (UK) for a week. After that, general on-sale starts on Friday 10th May 10am (UK).”

The announcement comes the same week Turner releases his anticipated tenth album Undefeated via Xtra Mile Recordings, and the week (May 4th) he embarks upon the first ever Music Venue Trust world record attempt to play the most gigs in different cities in 24 hours by playing 15 shows across the country. His effort will be supported by London Taxi app FREENOW, who will be providing e-taxis for him to complete the almost 500 mile journey, which runs from Liverpool to Southampton.

In the run-up to his landmark 3000th show, Turner’s schedule remains packed, playing a run of European dates in May, including shows as special guests on NOFX’s final tour, before heading across North America in late May and throughout June. He will play a series of UK headline shows and festivals in the summer (Glastonbury, Docksfest, 2000trees, Latitude and Y NOT?) before taking the seventh instalment of his Lost Evenings extravaganza to Canada for the first time in September.
