Over £13.4 Million Raised By Concert for Ukraine

Organisers of the two hour fundraiser event, Concert for Ukraine, which took place last night from the Resorts World Arena Birmingham and broadcast exclusively on ITV and STV, have confirmed that over £13.4million has been raised to date from the concert for the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal through sponsorship, ticket sales ad revenue and public donations.

A peak of 3.6million people tuned into the live broadcast, and it was the most watched programme of the day for 16-34 year olds.

Hosted by Global radio presenters, Capital Breakfast host Roman Kemp, Capital FM’s Marvin Humes and Heart’s Emma Bunton, the broadcast featured two hours of live performances from artists including Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabello, Paloma Faith, Gregory Porter, Emeli Sandé, Nile Rodgers & Chic and Ukrainian singer and former Eurovision winner Jamala, interspersed with short films recognising the ongoing relief efforts and the plight faced by people affected by the conflict in Ukraine.

Throughout the broadcast viewers were invited to make donations to the DEC appeal via text message. The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) has confirmed that its Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal has raised a total of £260 million to date.

Concert for Ukraine is still available to watch on ITV Hub, and donations can still be made to the DEC's Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal at dec.org.uk or by calling 0370 60 60 900.

ITV, STV and Livewire Pictures joined forces with the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) and the Media & Entertainment group Global to bring together names from the world of music for a unique event spreading a message of hope and support, and most importantly, raising funds for the ongoing DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

The live show broadcast across ITV, STV, ITV Hub and STV Player and was produced by Livewire Pictures. Global, the Media & Entertainment Group, joined as a media partner, and Marks & Spencer were headline sponsors for the broadcast.
