Music Hackspace announces special International Women’s Day events

Music Hackspace, a London-based community of engineers, artists and music creators, has announced three special events to mark this year’s International Women’s Day on Tuesday, March 8.

The events will be over three days from March 8-10 at The Rattle and UAL Creative Computer Institute in London.

The run kicks off on March 8 with mastering engineer Katie Tavini leading a discussion about the art of mastering engineering and why it’s important to the record making process.

On March 9, production YouTuber LNA Does Audio Stuff will be helping producers explore new songwriting workflows, while on March 10, tech drumming specialist Vicky O’Neon (pictured) will be offering new ways for drummers to explore performing with the latest in cutting edge technology.

Each of the events will be available to stream online anywhere in the world, while tickets for the events are available from the Music Hackspace website.

The three events follow the launch of Music Hackspace’s We Move programme, which is a series of 25 live and online seminars featuring the work of creative technology experts who are women and gender minorities, with the support of the Arts Council England,

The Music Hackspace team is continuing to book experts for the ongoing We Move series during the spring. Artists and technologists interested in being featured are invited to contact jenny@musichackspace.org.
