The Headliner Atmos room is located at The Pioneer Club, St. Albans - an historic creative hub which fuses music, sport, and community culture.
Just 40 minutes from North London by car, or 20 minutes by rail into Kings Cross St Pancras, the location of the studio is close enough to the capital, yet rural enough to achieve a relaxed working environment. In August 2024, Dolby certified the space as an official Dolby Atmos Music Studio.
Our brand new SSL Origin 32 analogue console allows for a whole host of recording and mixing applications, and makes the space a true hybrid facility.
Tracking and mixing can be achieved fully analogue, completely in the box, or a combination of both, thanks to the studio’s multiple I/O and connectivity options. There is also a vocal booth and ‘B Room’ which is big enough for a drum kit and small band, allowing engineers to utilise the full flavour of the SSL if desired.
We also have the ability to record from stage to studio in any format, as the room is connected seamlessly via Dante to the live venue next door: a 450-capacity space with endless creative possibilities.
Designed in partnership with Miloco Builds, our certified Dolby Atmos studio is perfectly balanced acoustically and boasts world class Genelec 7.1.4 monitoring.
Three wall-mounted 40-inch screens and an HD Mac monitor provide all the flexibility you need for a modern Atmos workflow, from sizeable music productions to mixing soundtracks for TV & Film, and post-production work. It’s also an outstanding stereo mix room, of course.
High-end Black Lion Audio patch bays and conversion via Ferrofish, Lectrosonics, and Audient, as well as ample local I/O, make this studio as plug-and-play or as complex as you choose to make it.
