Introducing SoundGrid Connect

Ever fancied supercharging your mixing sessions with a ton more processing power? Well SoundGrid Connect could well be for you. In a nutshell, it lets you offload Waves and other manufacturers' plugins to a SoundGrid DSP server, using the same computer and audio interface you already have.

If you think about it, you're actually asking your Digital Audio Workstation computer for an awful lot. It has to mix the audio you're playing back, render graphics, run your operating system, and handle every task running in the background. As if that's not enough, it also has to deal with processing all the plugins in your session.

The solution: take the load off your computer's CPU, and offload the plugin processing onto a SoundGrid server dedicated exclusively to that task. You can keep using the exact same audio interface* you know and love – SoundGrid Connect will make sure that your interface and the server understand each other perfectly.

It's all very simple to connect, too; one Ethernet cable is all that's necessary. We're going to get our hands on one of these pretty sharpish, as our main studio machine is filling up pretty quick. If you're in the same boat, why not check it out?
