Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Soundtrack Gets Vinyl Release

The original soundtrack to the 2018 first-person, cooperative action game Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is getting a double-vinyl release via Laced Records.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a first-person action video game developed and published by Fatshark. It is the sequel to 2015's Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide.

Vermintide 2 was released for Windows on 8 March 2018. It was released for Xbox One on 11 July 2018, free for members of the Xbox Game Pass. It was released for the PlayStation 4 on 18 December 2018.

The Warhammer: Vermintide 2 soundtrack, scored by award-winning composer Jesper Kyd (Borderlands 3 and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla), will be pressed on two 180g coloured discs: one on ‘Chaos Red’ and the other on ‘Skaven Green’ vinyl.

The 2xLP album comprises 38 tracks of music, seven of which are previously unreleased tracks not included in the soundtrack’s digital release.

This double-vinyl release features album artwork designed by the game’s developer Fatshark.

Pre-orders are available now from the Laced Records online store with shipping expected in May.

Inspired by Norse mythology, Kyd’s original score for Vermintide 2 explores ancient tribal music and dark magic fantasy elements as well as evolving the raw acoustic soundscape he developed for the first game.

Kyd channels his Scandinavian roots, blending Viking and Norse-inspired vocals, ritualistic percussion styles and new custom-made instruments built specifically for Vermintide 2, to create another unique soundtrack experience.
